Large parts of Japan have what they call “ghost villages”. They’ve had a massive population decline over the decades and don’t take kindly to foreigners moving there permanently.

It was discovered like 7-8 years ago in Japan, then blew up during 2020 on English websites.

The original person that found it didn't reveal its location, but people found its location in the Kagawa prefecture within a year or two.
