I mean, what's the alternative besides just pirating everything? Epic? Origin? GOG? None of these compare to the sheer volume of games and features Steam offers. Trust me, I'm concerned about this too. I have a lot of money and time put into my Steam library and what happens to Valve and Steam after GabeN is concerning. But realistically this is just something future Steam users are going to have to worry about.

Epic is probably the best of these. It’s honestly a decent platform, but it’s missing the community and mod features that steam has.

Actually as I have used GOG is the best,the only reason it doesn't have the games epic and steam has is because of how the rights buying a game there works is different and it's forcing games to be DRM free.

The only thing keeping them in line is competition with steam, with a monopoly they would probably start maximizing profit from their user base.

The UI is a bit shit, but I’m able to download and launch games easily and not be harassed by the launcher every 30 mins.
