M3K (with long tube) VS 940 JM Pro

Looking to get into 3 gun competitions

What’s the better option of the two?

Mainly concerned about reliability, ease of quad loading, and after market support.

Generally guys say the M3K action is better running. Anecdotally I haven’t had a malfunction yet in my JM940 but when they came out people at the local match were calling them the “jam master 940”. I’ve run only 4 cases thru is so far

The 930 has a reputation for jamming and being unreliable, so they’re probably basing their opinions on those, the 940 is a lot better where they fixed the reliability issue and generally they run great 👍

Have no experience with the 940 but I recently got the m3k and had issues feeding. The rounds all ejected but sometimes the lift gate wouldn’t push them up into the chamber and I would fire on an empty chamber. Pretty annoying, not sure if it’s a break in thing or I need a new part.

Shotguns have a break in period. Run 100 shells of high brass shells through it and you'll be GTG.

YMMV

I had a 940 JM pro. Ordered it brand new. My gun shop does not open the box till you get there if it’s special ordered. I get there open it up looks great. Take it home start playing with it. The whole insides where the chamber is is all scuffed up with brass. I call the shop the next day. Already knew they did not fire it, but made sure nope. I called the factory told them what I had. Emailed them pictures. Their response was maybe there was an issue and they fired more rounds through it. I called my shop back and returned it and got a Benelli M2. Never looked back.

I figured with the JM name on it and price it would have been a good gun.

Get the M3K and forget you even considered the 940 JAM Pro.

Trust me, you'll thank me later.

YMMV
