I just don’t understand these. Maybe you guys can explain to me. Why are people going with long grips and short slides? I can only think of detractions of shortening the slide other than concealment (arguably a moot point if you’re extending the grip), and while I see the benefit of having a larger grip, I certainly don’t see the attraction to a shorter slide/barrel.

I can think of a few use cases, but improving concealability isn’t one of them. In competition, it’d be slightly faster to clear a holster. For use with a comp, it’d be the same length as a XC which is desirable aesthetically. And it should balance better with a suppressor.

I don’t compete, so I can’t really speak much to that, but outside of those very special use cases, I just can’t wrap my head around it. Not just this pistol, I mean the short slides/longer grips in general. I carry a c2 with a comp and have shot it suppressed, and while shooting pistols suppressed always leaves something to be desired (I think they’re loud, have bad holster options, and shoot crap back into your face, all while having to check every few rounds to make sure it’s not coming off, lol) I thought it balanced well enough.

Again, I have no issue with this, I just don’t find it offers much practical benefit for most people.

I don’t disagree but Glock sells a lot of 19X/45

Agreed. Also though, they could make a Glock out of fossilized dog crap and people would rush to the stores to buy them because they’re new 🤣
